A lovely friend....

I've had several friend requests on fb from people who know Ally in England... and a couple of them have become dear friends already.

These ladies are so sweet and kind to Ally and her companion!

Two of them send me updates if they've just seen them and one of them will send me pics she's taken of her/them. Until you've had a child gone for any amount of time that you also can't speak to, except twice a year.... just write to and email with once a week... it's hard to imagine what it's like to receive updates from someone who's close to them wherever they are.... I am SOOO beyond grateful! xx

I woke up to 3 new photos today and seriously this girl of mine brings me joy beyond joy from halfway around the world.... it's as if that through that smile of hers her spirit jumps out and warms my heart and communes with my spirit in a way that no other earthly being can.

What an amazing Sunday morning gift!!

I feel so utterly blessed....

Playing an old game.....

..... Ally and I. It happened as we were driving down Ustick Rd. the other day and saw a car with a Hawaii license plate.... then 20 seconds later Connecticut and Pennsylvania.  Now, if you've never been on Ustick Rd, you might not understand the significance of that. Ally got Alaska yesterday. Guess I better get out more.

2017

Many many moons since my last post. I do think about it every once in a while..... posting, that is. I only keep this blog for myself.  And while it says that it gets visits from places like Russia, Germany, China, France, the Middle East, and the US... I think it's probly mostly people that stumble across it looking for what a sweet potato is. This blog keeps me honest.  With myself.  I'm pretty much an open book to the rest of the world, there are only a few things that I keep absolutely cocooned up tightly... maybe cocooned up tightly isn't the right phrase?  Maybe more like tucked away in the drawer of an old dresser that belonged to an ancestor and is kept in a corner of the attic?  Hmm.  Now I'm thinking how tranquil and secluded that would be... quiet, still.  I'd need an overstuffed chair with a blankie and a lamp... and I'd fall asleep next to the dresser, holding those things I keep to myself.  But, I digress.  I totally want ...

Trewly

God, shield my beloved, my white dove. And the.... .... child that she may one day bear. Preserve her from violence.... ..... and from harm. In this place.... .... and every place. On this night... .... and on every night.
