Changing things up a bit

I've had two blogs over the years..... started both with the best of intentions.  But then, who starts new things/sets out to make changes in their lives, with the worst of intentions?

Being the sentimental type-A that I am, it kills me now that I deleted my first blog.  It's like going back to your high school diary and seeing all the pages you tore out.  Not because it would be of any interest to anyone else, but because it was *my* life..... and no matter that so much of it was everyday ho hum, it still gives perspective to me..... a way of gaging how I've evolved over the years to become who I am today...... which wouldn't really matter to anyone but myself.  But still, there it is.  Because the first blog, and now this one, have been for me.... just me.... though, this blog gets viewed by people (I'm assuming people?  Who knows?) from mainly Russia, the Ukraine, Brazil, Malaysia and the U.S. for heaven only knows why, as my little life is nothing more than that..... little.  Thing is, though it's little, it's mine..... and I wouldn't trade it for anything or anyone. However, this blog hasn't really gone (though I've recommitted myself several times) the direction I've wanted.  It's still more like an online journal/diary for my innermost thoughts and feelings.

I want this blog to be more structurally motivated and goal- oriented.... more info-related.

When I started it 5+ years ago, this was my first entry:

Sooo, here goes another recommitment.....

Oh boy.

Playing an old game.....

..... Ally and I. It happened as we were driving down Ustick Rd. the other day and saw a car with a Hawaii license plate.... then 20 seconds later Connecticut and Pennsylvania.  Now, if you've never been on Ustick Rd, you might not understand the significance of that. Ally got Alaska yesterday. Guess I better get out more.

2017

Many many moons since my last post. I do think about it every once in a while..... posting, that is. I only keep this blog for myself.  And while it says that it gets visits from places like Russia, Germany, China, France, the Middle East, and the US... I think it's probly mostly people that stumble across it looking for what a sweet potato is. This blog keeps me honest.  With myself.  I'm pretty much an open book to the rest of the world, there are only a few things that I keep absolutely cocooned up tightly... maybe cocooned up tightly isn't the right phrase?  Maybe more like tucked away in the drawer of an old dresser that belonged to an ancestor and is kept in a corner of the attic?  Hmm.  Now I'm thinking how tranquil and secluded that would be... quiet, still.  I'd need an overstuffed chair with a blankie and a lamp... and I'd fall asleep next to the dresser, holding those things I keep to myself.  But, I digress.  I totally want ...

Trewly

God, shield my beloved, my white dove. And the.... .... child that she may one day bear. Preserve her from violence.... ..... and from harm. In this place.... .... and every place. On this night... .... and on every night.
